Virág Novák-Varró was the secretary of the Doctoral Council of the University of Public Service for 2.5 years, currently she is a delegate of the Doctoral School of Military Sciences, and the vice-president of the Military Science Department of the Association of Hungarian PhD and DLA Students and the secretary of the Hungarian Association of Military Science.
In 2015 she earned a master's degree in International Relations from the Corvinus University of Budapest with diplomatic specialization. Currently she is a PhD student at the Doctoral School of Military Sciences of the University of Public Service in the field of security studies. She is a junior lecturer in the departments of International Security Studies and International Relations and Diplomacy at the university. Her fields of research are regional security studies (security situation of Afghanistan and Central Asia), security theories, and conflict theories.
